I first met Ms. Davis when she came and had Christian Worship Services at the Correctional Facility. I entered the Correctional Facility in Dec 2004 and got released 18 months later in Jun 2006. I didn’t start talking to God till I got in the Facility. It was thru the Christian Worship Services that Ms. Davis had, that I began to accept God into my life. Before I went in, I didn’t want anything to do with God. I was a dope fiend and through Jesus, I just stopped. Jesus took the taste out of my mouth & the thoughts out of my head. I’ve now been clean since 2004. I went into the Correctional Facility as a ‘crack-head’ and weighed only 134 lbs. On the day of my release, I was up to 164 lbs. That’s nothing but the grace of God. I was also diagnosed HIV + in 1994. After turning my life totally over to him in there and accepting my calling from Him, when I left there in Jun 2006, the doctors said that the HIV virus was NON-DETECTIBLE. The HIV virus that my wife had is now NON-DETECTIBLE as well! Jesus removed the virus from me & my wife! While in the Facility, I discovered that God wanted me to use what I went thru to help others / to educate others on the disease. Since then, I’ve been going everywhere speaking on HIV & HIV prevention. I’ve gone to Washington D.C. to speak to Senators & Congressmen 3 times. I wrote a letter to the President of the United States asking him to increase funding for HIV and he sent me a letter acknowledging that additional funding has been added. Since listening to Ms. Davis speak about Jesus & His power, I’ve changed my attitude, people I hang around, places I go, & things I do. I now wake up EVERY morning @ 3:30 a.m. and get on my knees and start reciting Psalm 23 and The Lord’s Prayer. I’m now a junior at Bloomfield College and made the Dean’s list. Jesus even brought back ALL of my children into my life. I’m grateful for EVERYTHING that God has done in my life!
